This guide explains how to connect Google Ads and HubSpot in both directions—from the Google Ads interface and from within the HubSpot Ads tool.
Method 1: Connect HubSpot from Google Ads
Follow these steps if you are inside Google Ads and want to connect HubSpot as a data source:
- 1. Log into Google Ads: https://ads.google.com
- 2. Go to Tools (wrench icon) > Data Manager
- 3. Find HubSpot and click 'Details' or 'Set up'
- 4. Choose 'Direct connection' and click the blue 'Authorize' button
- 5. A pop-up will appear. Log into your HubSpot Super Admin account
- 6. Grant the requested permissions and complete the authorization
- 7. Once authorized, the 'Unfinished authorization' warning will disappear
Use this method if you want HubSpot to send CRM-based conversions or audiences into Google Ads.
Method 2: Connect Google Ads from HubSpot
Follow these steps if you are inside HubSpot and want to link your Google Ads account:
- 1. Log into HubSpot: https://app.hubspot.com
- 2. Navigate to Marketing > Ads
- 3. Click the 'Connect account' button
- 4. Choose 'Google Ads' from the list of ad networks
- 5. A pop-up will appear. Sign in with your Google Ads account
- 6. Approve the requested permissions and click 'Allow'
- 7. You will now see the connected Google Ads account in HubSpot's Ads dashboard
Optional: Enable Auto-Tracking
HubSpot may offer to automatically add tracking templates to your Google Ads campaigns. This enhances attribution and CRM-based reporting. Enabling it is recommended unless you use a custom setup.
