Photo & Video Guidelines
Your photos will look best on Google if they meet the following standards:
Format: JPG or PNG.
Size: Between 10 KB and 5 MB.
Minimum resolution: 720 x 720 pixels.
Quality: The photo should be in focus and well lit, and have no significant alterations or excessive use of filters. In other words, the image should represent reality.
Video guidelines:
Duration: Up to 30 seconds long
File size: Up to 100 MB
Resolution: 720p or higher

- Exterior photos help customers recognize your business as they approach from different directions.
- Capture a photo from each direction that customers might approach your business
- Try uploading photos that show your business at different times of day.
2. Interior Photos & Common Areas
- 3+ photos that give a feel for your building, office, and studio
- Interior photos help your customers get a feel for the ambiance and decor of your business
- Capture photos that truthfully show what it's like to stand inside your business as a customer
- Capture the atmosphere of your business and show what makes you unique

- 3+ photos help customers quickly understand the type of work you do
- Photos that show people working at your office/location
- Photos of your team providing different types of service to customers

4. Team Photos
- 3+ photos of the team, e.g. posed shots
- Show something a little less formal to humanize your business
- Show yourself and any staff to highlight your personalities and give potential clients a feel for what you're like
5. Product Photos
- This is really meant for sites that sell products vs services, but it could be worth it to show photos from client work
- Showcase the items that are most popular for your business.
6. Cover Photo
- Showcase your business’s personality and help potential customers identify you
- Aspect ratio: 16:9
7. Logo
- Company logo, especially if there is a variation from location to location
8. Video
- Optional video providing a tour of your business or office space
